Oh Yes !! You guys have heard it right.
Whatsapp has started rolling out the calling feature. How to get it on your phone ?
Here is how to get that feature on your phone:
You have to get it through a Invite. Yes! You have heard it right !
You would be able to enable this feature with an Invite from another person who already has it enabled on his/her phone.
So once you get invited, you would be able to make calls on whatsapp ;-)
NOTE : Do not forget to update the latest version of whatsapp on your phone.
HANDS ON TESTED.
It has the normal interface of the calling feature like a normal smart phone does.
Once the feature has been enabled the main interface of the app changes.
It basically splits into 3 tabs which are : Calls, Chats & Contacts.
So the Calls tab contains the recent call information or history.
The chat column contains the chat history, While the Contacts tab lists the people in your address book.
Whatsapp has straight forwardly built a voice over IP service into its popular mobile instant app and surely gonna haunt the mobile operators.
